Possibility of Cross tenant synchronization with SMS enabled users

Hi there,

last week I did some test with cross-tenant synchronization and figured out that users with enabled sms sign-in (MFA) can not be synced.

We have two tenants here and want to manage all distribution lists in one tenant. Therefore i want to sync the users of the other tenant to this tenant.

Is it a bug which should be fixed? (that the "sms-users" can not be synced)

Or is there an alternative way to do the user synchronization?

I believe it's not a technical issue, but a "privacy" one - Microsoft is being very careful not to expose any personal data, i.e. the user's personal phone number. Best leave feedback with Microsoft on the article above.
