Howdy folks, I am excited to announce that the integration of PingFederate configuration with the Azure AD Connect wizard is now generally available. This offers PingFederate customers a simple and reliable method to federate on-premises Active Directory with Azure AD. The configuration of PingFederate and Azure AD provides customers with a seamless and secure access to Office 365. Microsoft and Ping Identity worked together to build the configuration of PingFederate and Azure AD into the Azure AD Connect wizard and I’m eager to share some details with you today!

Why is federating to Azure AD important?

Adoption of our Azure AD Cloud Authentication options is growing incredibly quickly, but most large enterprises still opt to use federation servers. Among large enterprises, most of our customers use ADFS, Microsoft’s federation server. But PingFederate is also a very popular choice and is used to authenticate more than four million unique Azure AD users every month. So, making it simpler to configure PingFederate to work with Azure AD is a great way to make it easier for these customers manage their hybrid enterprise cloud deployments.
