Wait! What is cloud attach?
We often get asked by customers what is cloud attach and how is this different from the more familiar terms like co-management or tenant attach? In simple terms, cloud attach means enabling both co-management and tenant attach. But, it is so much more than just a feature. Cloud attach is the means for organizations using Configuration Manager to have even more flexibility in managing endpoints without having to choose between security, compliance and supporting new work realities.

Every organization has different challenges in moving to the cloud, and it's important to understand the risk associated with each step in this journey. In Configuration Manager, enabling cloud attach is the recommended first step that enables access to the cloud console. The Endpoint Manager cloud console is the gateway to a ton of new capabilities, while it ensures the ability to use existing Configuration Manager features like CM Pivot, script and application deployment, and much more from a centralized console. The second step is to consider moving workloads like Windows update policies and others to the cloud, based on the existing configuration and organizational needs.
