Workflow for new graduate student (iPad, laptop, onedrive, OneNote)

I am an independent advisor responding to the inquiry.
I used to be a heavy OneNote user and loved it. Based on my research, if you download OneNote for Windows 10, your files are stored in OneDrive (the cloud). You can access your content from anywhere and on any device. But you should know that the Windows 10 support end date is October 2025.

You can also consider a Microsoft 365 Personal plan for $69 per year, you will be logging in through the browser. It comes with OneNote, OneDrive, the Office 365 premium apps, and MS Teams. With MS Teams, you can share your documents on the screen if you need to, unlike a simple video call on your tablet. Also, later on if you do get a laptop, you can also download the desktop version.
Here is a snapshot of the plan. Although OneNote is not shown below, the plan supports it.
