Why do my MS 365 credentials not work for signing into MS?

Can you elaborate further? Any error message or screenshot?
MS means sign-on Microsoft application?

I found out that because my email is hosted by GoDaddy and I signed up for MS 365 through them, I do not actually have a direct account with Microsoft so that's why they don't recognize my credentials. Boo.
