Outlook client configuration post MS365 tenant migration
Throughout the course of this year I have slowly been migrating our various companies into one tenant, using a mix of MS Compliance and a third party tool.
The back end of these tenant moves has worked perfectly, but every time I have had an issue with the Outlook clients on the users' PCs - it seems Outlook is not intelligent enough to look to the new tenant for the mail, even though the DNS records are changed, and instead I have to create a new mail profile on each PC
I'm sure I'm not the only one to perform tenant migrations, I'm curious if anyone has solved this issue and got the users' existing Outlook profiles to (re)connect to the new tenant?

Yes, it becomes a problem between tenant to tenant migration, may I know your migration work was completed? Or still in progress since patch by patch?
- The only way to avoid profile reconfiguration would be to use the "native" remote mailbox move functionality. Some third-party tools might also be able to streamline the process, but that's usually the exception.
- dangermouse1977Copper ContributorCan you elaborate on this please, what is the "native" remote mailbox move - this isn't something I've heard of before.
- It the method used by Hybrid, and most recently by Microsoft's own tenant-to-tenant migration solution. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/mailbox-migration/mailbox-migration#migrate-mailboxes-from-exchange-server
