MS Project 2016 license still valid, but wont work on 365
We purchased MS Project 2016 and now our company switched to 365 and my project no longer works as it says it is incompatible . But my license is still valid. I don't really want to buy it again! ...

It appears to be a classic case of conflict between MSI and C2R versions of office products. You will have to use office deployment tool to download C2R version of project and activate it with the volume licensing key you already have.
