Hiding Email Addresses/Accounts Under "Suggested" in Teams Chat

Copper Contributor

In Teams under the Chat tab there is a section called "Suggested". It seems to list all the User accounts in our organization, including ones that have been set up for technical or specific email purposes. Those accounts have only been licensed with Exchange Online, which does not include Teams.

So, how is it that these appear in Teams and how can I prevent them from showing up? Thanks!

Example below (with the email addresses and names cut out):

@Kidd_Ip , thanks. I gave it a go to the best of my knowledge, but I'm not getting the desired result.

I can confirm I set this property in M365 Admin Center:

And I set this one in Exchange Admin Center:

Made sure the ShowInAddressList property was null

I also waited a week to double-check since that source notes "some users can see changes after hours, for some it takes days".

Surely there must be a solution. It's ridiculous that right now I have a number of admin email addresses showing up there that users should never even know exist.

Any, comments or solutions are appreciated :folded_hands:
