Get-SPOTenantStorageMetricReport Output

for whatever reason, the output from "Get-SPOTenantStorageMetricReport" it is not really documented

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn479218(v=exchg.160).aspx

Can someone explain what Used, Allocated and Total means ?

I know it sounds stupid, but somehow i can't believe the numbers i see in my tenant

i see under "Used" the number: 105

If this is the number of ALL Sites (teamsites, groupsites, projectssites, ...) then it can't be true :)

Under "Total" i even see 1.5 TB of data (number is based on MB) which definitely can't be true :)

Does it count also ALL OneDrive for Business user sites ?

If yes, then this is a bit confusing because OneDrive for Business is not really counted against the Tenant Storage space for a customer, right ?

My assumption is that this PS script should show only tenantstorage related numbers for which a company would need to pay if more storage is needed

  • Well, don't know what to answer :-)...but I don't have that command in my SPO Management Shell and I have the latest update (April one)

      Hi jcgonzalezmartin,

This command is part of the Exchange Online PowerShell Module.

I tried downloading this from the Exchange admin center -> hybrid ,  but it doesn't seem to want to install.

StefanFried, what are the options you are running. The command takes different options and can give you for example daily or weekly reports.

OK, so the command is for EXO, something that I can still don't understand, and even I can run it without problems, I don't know how to interpret the output too...
