Adding Members to Outlook Group

I was recently put in charge of an outlook group which has around 650 members. It has not been touched in over 6 months and needs to have many users added/removed. 

 

The easiest way to do this would be to remove all members. Then take a current list of employee emails from excel and import to the group contacts. Is there a way I can do the above/another alternative way to update the contacts?
