What version of Outlook is needed or Microsoft Copilot?
I thought I read it would need the new Outlook.
Can anyone confirm this?
Copilot for Microsoft 365 to Support Outlook Classic
Microsoft originally said that Copilot for Microsoft would only support the Monarch client. Now it turns out the Outlook Win32 Copilot support is coming. No formal announcement is available and Microsoft hasn’t shared when the support will turn up in an Office channel, but it’s good news that this deployment blocker is no more. And Teams has a new Copilot experience, so things are moving in the world of AI-powered assistants.

Pierre-Yves_Delacote Copilot will be coming to the new outlook for windows. You can find more information here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/getting-started-with-the-new-outlook-for-windows-656bb8d9-5a60-49b2-a98b-ba7822bc7627
- NITIN SHUKLABrass ContributorI really hope Microsoft strongly considers bringing this to the Win32 Outlook client. A lot of Copilot's value is for business users and the same group of users extensively use add-ins (not all of which are yet modernized). They will not use the new Outlook for this reason and look and feel.
- That would require back porting code. Unless they see a huge uptick in purchases with Win32, I think you will not see it in that version. The goal is to move forward, and this is another way to move the needle.
- RobQ_MVPIron ContributorOr you can use outlook on the web
- NITIN SHUKLABrass ContributorYes. New Outlook also code named"Monarch"
