Hi, do you have a Microsoft 365 Copilot license? If not, you have to buy that license to get Copilot in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Forms, Teams, ... And if you do have a license, what is your exact problem?

This is a good comparison of the different licenses and the different options:

Provided you have a license and service assigned as well as updated version of Excel you may need to update your License (in desktop Excel go to File - Account - Update License).

Activating Microsoft Copilot in Excel involves ensuring you have the correct version of Excel and the necessary subscription. Microsoft Copilot is available in Excel through Microsoft 365, and access may depend on your subscription and region. Here's how you can activate and use Copilot in Excel:

    Prerequisites
Microsoft 365 Subscription: Ensure you have a Microsoft 365 subscription that includes the Copilot feature.
Latest Version of Excel: Ensure your Excel application is updated to the latest version.
Internet Connection: Copilot requires an internet connection to function.
Steps to Activate and Use Copilot in Excel
    Open Excel:

Launch Excel from your desktop or online through the Microsoft 365 portal.
    Sign In:

Make sure you are signed in with your Microsoft 365 account.
    Accessing Copilot:

In Excel, look for the Copilot icon or the Copilot option in the ribbon. This is typically located in the toolbar or as part of the help or assistant features.
    Enable Copilot:

If you do not see Copilot, ensure that your Office apps are updated. Go to File > Account > Update Options > Update Now to check for updates.
    Using Copilot:

Once Copilot is enabled, you can start using it by either clicking on the Copilot icon or by using natural language queries.
You can ask Copilot to perform various tasks, such as analyzing data, generating charts, creating formulas, and more.
    Troubleshooting
If you do not see the Copilot feature:

    Check Subscription:

Verify that your Microsoft 365 subscription includes access to Copilot. You may need a specific enterprise or business plan.
    Update Office:

Make sure your Office suite is up to date. Sometimes new features are rolled out progressively and may take some time to appear in all regions.
    Contact Support:

If you have verified your subscription and updated your software but still do not see Copilot, contact Microsoft Support for further assistance.
    Example Usage
Here are a few examples of how you can use Copilot in Excel:

    Generate a Summary:

Type a query like "Summarize the sales data for the last quarter" in the Copilot query box.
    Create a Chart:

Ask Copilot to "Create a bar chart for monthly sales data".
    Analyze Data:

Use Copilot to perform complex data analysis by typing "Analyze the correlation between marketing spend and sales revenue".
Following these steps should help you activate and use Microsoft Copilot in Excel. If you encounter any specific issues, providing details will help in offering more precise assistance.
