Represent Azure architectures accurately in Visio for the web

Earlier this year we released dozens of network diagramming shapes for Visio for the web. We’ve now added to that library a rich set of Microsoft Azure symbols, templates, and sample diagrams for you to accurately represent cloud and on-premises technologies. Included in this release are more than 500 shapes and stencils based on Azure cloud services, tools, and frameworks.

Creating IT diagrams that accurately represent your Azure services and networks makes it easier for you to share concepts and communicate changes to your team. They also give you a detailed map for visualizing service interactions and where to connect new Azure solutions before you implement them. For example, you can build a diagram showing your company’s architecture for an e-commerce site that leverages Azure App Service to manage web and API apps. By sharing diagrams like this among your team, everyone is on the same page for executing concepts. Detailed Azure diagrams can also serve as roadmaps for scaling and managing your Azure network as it grows with your business.

There are 11 new shape sets in all, including Azure Cloud, Azure Enterprise, Azure General Symbols, Azure Intune, Azure OMS, Azure Operations Manager, Azure System Center, Azure Drawing, Azure VMs by Function, Other Microsoft Products, and Azure Deprecated. We’ve also developed several starter diagrams, like Azure log analytics, Azure site recovery, Azure automation, and more that you can find on the Visio for the web landing page.
