All notes view

Hi

I have recently moved from using EverNote to try using OneNote instead.

There are a couple of parts of Evernote that I really miss but don't seem to be available in OneNote.

Firstly, an "All Notes" view which displays all pages regardless of section/notebook/group. In Evernote I believe the default is to sort by date descending so the most recently edited notes appear at the top. Is such a view available in OneNote somewhere that I've missed?

Secondly, I don't 'get' notebooks. I don't understand how they are useful? What am I missing? It just seems unnecessarily cumbersome to have to open and close notebooks to get access to the notes in them, when having sections and section goups gives a 2-level taxonomy without opening/closing notebooks. So please tell me what the great advantages of having multiple notebooks is?

Lastly, is it possible to set the default sort for all sections to be by Date Modified?
