Self Service Reset password (SSPR)
Hi I have an odd situation with random users. When SSPR is enabled for them, they cannot login email on their iPhone corporate Intune device, is pushing the login to conditional access trusted locations blocked. Email works just fine with SSPR disabled. Anyone experience something similar.virtual-techDec 18, 2024Brass Contributor23Views1like1CommentSecurity Admin Center Tenant Allow/Block List Not Able to Block IPv4?
While using the Security Admin Center Tenant Allow/Block List we have been able to block specific email addresses and IPv6 IP addresses but are unable to block IPv4 IP addresses. We have tried both using the console and the CLI but have turned up unsuccessful both times when it comes to IPv4. A large majority of the phishing attempts that we encounter come from IPv4 addresses but we have been unable to block any of these. Will there ever be functionality for IPv4 within the Tenant Allow/Block list or is the only option to use conditional access policies? Also why is this enterprise tool only functional with IPv6 and without documentation stating that it does not work for IPv4?tpmaxDec 09, 2024Copper Contributor66Views1like0Commentsoutlook 365 set categories in admin center possible?
Hello, We're using Office 365 we have problems on multiple iMacs with the Outlook app. The colors of the categories sometimes disappear en sometimes different colors are suddenly popping up. It's happening on older iMac as on new ones as well. After a fresh install sometimes it works again for a while but then they'll start disappearing again. Very annoying and more people seem to have the same problem. Now I want to set the categories in the office or exchange admin center, but I cannot find out where I could do this. Hopefully when we set the categories for the whole company, hopefully the problems won't come back again. I think it might have something do also with delegated mailboxes but all people using them have all the rights. We're using the legacy Outlook while the new Outlook does show only a very few of our IMAP folders Hopefull you can help us out here, thanks!JJTS1000Dec 06, 2024Copper Contributor12Views0likes0CommentsUpgrading from M365 Bsuiness Basic to Exchange Online Plan 2 pricing question
We are migrating from Google Business to O365. Several users are over the 50GB size. I requested our Microsoft Partner to upgrade these users to a 100GB plan which they said the following, "Users would need to keep the M365 business Basic and then assigned the Exchange Online Plan 2 license to increase the mailbox storage. So it would be the current $6/month + the $8/month = $14/month" Wouldn't this be an upgrade and be $8 a month a user? Why would we need to keep the E1+E2 plan? Is this pricing plan correct? Thank you so much for your attention and participation. WIlliamWilliamGRRDec 04, 2024Copper Contributor4KViews0likes4CommentsNew Office365 SB licenses for an existing contract
I have an active ESD MS Office 365 Buisness license plan of 35. Now we need to buy additional 5 ESD MS Office 365 Buisness Standard licenses. There is an option to add licenses in the Panel, but will it increase my total from 35 licenses to 40? Will it just change to the 5 available licenses?Krzysztof_01Dec 04, 2024Copper Contributor23Views0likes0CommentsChange the message by adding a new member in a MS Group
Hello, I would like to know if Microsoft offers a feature that either prevents a new member in a Microsoft 365 Group from receiving an email when a new he is added. Or it is possible to customize the email body sent when a new member is added.Solved25Views0likes2CommentsAdministrative Units - are they a possible solution in this case?
Hi, I'm looking at a situation where a company has two divisions, which we will call Corporate and Operations. They are geographically distinct as well as having significantly different requirements in terms of security, data access, mobile device control, applications requirements and other factors. At the current time, for mostly historical reasons, all IT is run from Operations, primarily based on a Microsoft 365 Tenancy. This isn't working well, and for a variety of reasons it seems it would be significantly preferable if the current Admins dealt with, and could only access, things related to Operations while new admins deal with Corporate. If any admin is going to have access to everything it needs to be Corporate (e.g. Operations admins should not be able to see Corporate emails, the reverse is less of an issue) A solution they are seriously considering is simply starting a new Microsoft 365 Tenancy for Corporate and then linking between them as required, possibly using a Multi Tenant Organization. The divisions appear to be distinct enough this could function quite well. They own several domains and apparently, email addresses are currently split divisionally to two of those domains. However, I have just come across Administrative units and wonder if an alternative might be to use those? I'm still on the learning curve for 365 so despite having a look at the documentation it's currently unclear to me what the powers and restrictions that can be assigned to the administrator of a given unit.LeftyNov 26, 2024Copper Contributor30Views0likes1CommentExchange admin center Delegation permissions error
I am having a strange issue with Exchange Admin Centre I am signed in as a Global Administrator but when I go to a user's mailbox and then to the delegation tab I get the following error. Failed to get mailbox permissions Error: User is not allowed to call Get-MailboxPermission Is this a bug? I wouldn't think it was a permissions issue as I have been fine for years with my current ones.SolvedJimmy-StuffinsNov 22, 2024Copper Contributor3.2KViews0likes18Comments
