Last year, Microsoft announced the general availability of multi-year SaaS for commercial marketplace, which allows for billing terms beyond the standard month-to-month or 1-year subscription commitment. The new billing terms include 2-year and 3-year commitments, and offer upfront, annual, or equal monthly payment schedules. These SaaS pricing options are available for flat rate, flat rate with meters, and per user pricing models and are supported on both the Azure marketplace and AppSource storefronts. ISVs may choose to publish multi-year SaaS public plans and private plans. This new feature allows for longer-term commitments, custom pricing, and the ability for customers to decrement their cloud consumption commitment upfront or over time.
