We’ve gotten several cases asking about General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) recently; we know it’s top of mind for many of you. In this post, we share many documentation links to help you navigate Intune and Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS) GDPR compliance.

As of May 25, 2018 many organizations are required to be GDPR Compliant. GDPR is the European Union’s regulation to ensure individuals have the right to control the processing of their personal data including but not limited to correcting their data, requesting to receive their data, or requesting to have all their personal data erased. GDPR also has additional requirements for companies around how they collect, store and use personal information.

Microsoft is encouraging its customers to use the EMS suite to help their organizations in their GDPR compliance journey. Microsoft announced all cloud services will comply with GDPR by May 25, 2018 and we have backed this up with our contractual commitments to customers. We have provided links to resources to help you further understand GDPR requirements, its impact and how Microsoft Intune works in compliance with these regulations.
