The Diversity and Tech Community is excited to announce a brand new award that we’ve rolled out in collaboration with the Microsoft Tech Community!

The Most Valuable Mentor (MVM) award strives to recognize outstanding mentors who have inspired their mentees to unlock their full potential and discover their Diversity Superpower. Mentees can nominate their mentors via the nomination form here. Winners will be selected based on concrete examples and compelling stories about how the mentor has positively impacted the mentee’s life.

After reviewing numerous submissions, we are proud to announce that the inaugural Most Valuable Mentor Award goes to…

Congratulations to our first Most Valuable Mentor award recipient (CMP Cycle 4) - Stephanie Donahue, Office Apps and Services MVP, President and Co-founder of PAIT Group!Congratulations to our first Most Valuable Mentor award recipient (CMP Cycle 4) - Stephanie Donahue, Office Apps and Services MVP, President and Co-founder of PAIT Group!

Here's what Stephanie's mentee, Mike Swantek said (reproduced here with permission from Mike):

"Stephanie has given me specific tasks to practice and perfect to help me become a better consultant and a better leader in general in my practice. We have role played certain situations, have compared practices that we are both at, and have strategized for my growth. Stephanie has introduced me to key people in the industry, and has also helped me get my blog going after several months of me just talking about it. Stephanie has given me specific, actionable goals to achieve that she herself has done to get to where she is in this industry. For that, I thank her. She is very funny, has an amazing work ethic, and is always available for questions.

Stephanie, I am blown away by your work ethic, and your personal drive. You have been an inspiration to me in my new journey, and I appreciate everything you have taught me and shared. I hope that we can continue to communicate once the mentoring sessions have concluded. "

Congratulations, @Stephanie Donahue! You will be receiving a special Most Valuable Mentor badge on your Tech Community profile page in recognition of your dedication and excellence in mentoring others in the community.
