AI want to learn.

Hello World, I am Nelson and I have worked as an instructional designer and eLearning developer for more than 10 years and I have witnessed some intriguing things appear and disappear.

This is the first blog of my series "AI want to learn" where I will talk about how AI will be involved in some of the common eLearning tools we use.

Articulate Storyline is the first Tool I will talk about. Articulate Storyline is a cloud-based platform that lets businesses design engaging eLearning courses. Users can create their own project templates/slides with Articulate Storyline 360 and store them in a shared database for later use.

I have been using Storyline since it was a software that you had to download on your computer and hope it wouldn't freeze while creating content.

It has improved a lot and is very stable and regularly updated.

AI is everywhere, you can't avoid it, it affects our lives. But I don't know about you, but the first thing that I think of is "How will this affect my job?"

I decided to do some research and found this video "From Authoring Improvements to AI Magic:10 Ways Articulate 360 Transforms Course Creation.”  You can learn more by clicking on the hyperlink, but in summary, you will see new features with their Rise program, which helps you create a high-quality course in less time. It is a quicker and simpler tool for eLearning content development.

Just add images, animations, and text; and you are ready. On the other hand, you must invest a lot of time to design courses in Storyline.

I want to emphasize the “AI video feature” that lets you bypass the complicated and expensive process of studio recording sessions. Use AI to create realistic actors, voices that sound natural, and backgrounds that suit your needs to produce high-quality training videos.

I also want to mention the "AI Assistant" feature. This is a smart AI helper that suggests and changes block layouts, creates quizzes and images, and helps you write good text. You can also turn source files like PDFs into interactive training in minutes.

You might be wondering "When will these features come out?" They haven't announced a specific date yet, but it's expected to be in 2024. Keep an eye on future blogs where I will explain in depth how these new features made me work much more efficiently.

Thank you for reading this blog. In my next blog, I will talk about Camtasia and how AI will influence your video creation.
