Because Groups do not have folders in Outlook, can anyone tell me what happens to mail marked as spam sent to 365 Group address when configured to not "Send copies of group conversations and events to group members' inboxes" or notifications disabled when rules are in-place?36KViews2likes27CommentsHidden Group and Hidden Group Membership
Hi everyone! I have come across a requirement where the client would like to use an excel spreadsheet, a service account and application registration to manage group membership for a confidential group. They would like to create a group from which the members cannot leave, see other team members and cannot see the group itself. Now, I have the concept of the flow with me but for the life of me, I cannot get around to finding/configuring a group that meets the requirement. Have you guys come across this sort of scenario? Group Configuration: Users should not be able to view the group Users should not be able to view members of the group Users should not be able to leave the group Thanks in advance.41Views0likes2CommentsOffice 365 Backup
Iam Looking For: Find a backup solution for our Office 365 data such as SharePoint/OneDrive content, e-mails, calendars, contacts, notes, tasks etc. ! The harddrives of the machine definitly need to be encrypted. Not sure of synology can do that reliably (LUKS?). Synology had some security issues in the past, but they might have been only relevant if they are exposed to the internet. I think we have two options: Backup in the office on encrypted drives with very restricted access (SSH?) Encrypt backup and upload it to S3 (not sure if there's a tool for that) I'm fine with both. Is there an open source tool that can mirror Office 365 on a local machine? (Linux) is the Synology tool proprietary?3KViews0likes5CommentsHow to achieve easy file update on Powerbi repository
Hi, I am new to powebi and I am trying to understand if powerbi could be the answer to a challenge that I have. I receive a monthly excel report file (always with the same format and schema) from a partner. I would like to have a dashboard that visualised the report content. I can achieve this when I link the one file with powerbi, however, I am not sure how to handle the monthly increments. Do I need to have some kind of master file that every month I manually update with the data from the new file that I receive, or is there a smart solution where I can just drop the file into a repository and Powerbi will automatically fetch all files in the repository? Any ideas are welcome. Thanks34Views0likes2Commentsπ Mastering Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals β My Learning Journey & Tips!

Hi All, all we know in 365 we have developer program. It's really use full. But unfortunately last year due to family I not use it regularly. So the trail period not extended got expired. I am trying to re active the account. In the dashboard we gave delete profiles. Once we click it's saw after 24 hour you can join and get 60 days trail again. But if I came after 24 hour it's going to the registration process. Once it's done it's reducing to the old dashboard page whenever I have the expired profile. Please help me with re activate my account. Thanks Kannan N33Views0likes0CommentsHow to Replace Group Owners When They Leave the Organization
Deleting an Entra ID user account can result in ownerless groups if the account being removed is the only group owner. Before deleting accounts, itβs a good idea to proactively replace group owners. This article explains how to replace group owners in the fastest and most scalable manner using the Microsoft Graph PowerShell SDK. https://office365itpros.com/2025/01/20/replace-group-owners-powershell/24Views0likes0CommentsIntegrating Microsoft Groups and Team Channels
We have a Shared Inbox called email address removed for privacy reasons that is shared with me and a member of the company. I'd like to convert this into a Microsoft Group to use it internally in Teams Chat and receive emails in Outlook under the Groups section. I'd also like to create a channel where all the files we want to share are available inside Teams. So, is there a way to integrate a group as a channel in Teams, or is there a different approach?20Views0likes0CommentsHow to stop end user creating public groups in office 365
Hi All, Our organization is planning to allow all staff to create groups (we want to allow staff to create Teams, Planner, etc) in office 365. But I would like to know is it possible to do followings before we go ahead. 1. Are there any way stopping staff creates public groups, I mean disable public group creation option from end users? If so how? 2. Are there any way to limit the number of groups that a staff member can create, I know there is a max limit in O365, as I can remember it is more than 100, but I want to limit it to 10 groups by default and increase for the individual user as required/ request. 3. When we allow staff to create groups in O365 , I think they will be able to create distribution groups in exchange as well. is this correct? if so I hope I can stop end user creating distribution groups by Click to clear the MyDistributionGroups checkbox and the MyDistributionGroupMembership checkbox as follows. Much appreciate your professional advice.Solved34KViews1like8CommentsBlock users from creating Public Microsoft Teams groups
Hi Community, Is already know that Teams creation in Microsoft Teams is related to O365 groups, and if you would like to block users from creating teams, you need to block them from creating O365 groups, right? Ok, right. But what if we only want to block the possibility to create public teams, but still allow them to create private ones? Would that be possible? The answer is YES. And the solution is Microsoft Purview. You'll need to create a new Label/Label Policy under Information Protection. We'll configure the Label for the scope "Site, UnifiedGroup", with group settings as "Private" and applying the label automatically. Then we can configure/publish the Label Policy as mandatory for all the users, some of them or, as in my example, to a DL that contains all the users that I would like to block. Once published, depending on your tenant size, it can take up to 24 hours to propagate. In my test environment it was quite immediate. Now, the users added to the DL that I configured in the Label Policy can still create teams, but not Public ones ( and can't change the label ) as that option is greyed out. The answer is YES. And the solution is Microsoft Purview.15KViews0likes15Comments
