Since the Edge team are planning to add extension syncing to the browser, I want to point out that extensions like ublock origin have a special feature that use the cloud sync of the host browser to store their data.
you can read all about how it works in here:
https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/wiki/Cloud-storage
Cloud storage in uBlock Origin is supported through your browser's sync feature, as in Firefox Sync, or Chrome browser's Google account, i.e. through your browser's ability to synchronize extensions settings across multiple devices.
I hope you consider this when developing extension sync feature.
