As discussed last year on LinkedIn the German translations in the context menu for Excel's PivotTable Show Value is incorrect. My suggestions (approved by the German moderator) back then where:

% of grand total = % des Gesamtergebnisses
% of parent row total = % des übergeordneten Zeilenergebnisses
% of parent column total = % des übergeordneten Spaltenergebnisses
% of parent total = % des übergeordneten Ergebnisses
Running total in… = Laufende Summe von
%running total in… = % laufende Summe von

Since the running total accumulates (sums up) figures, we can translate it to „laufende Summe“ instead of „laufendes Ergebnis“
All other totals are NOT necessarily sums (could be averages, counts etc.) so we should translate these totals to „Ergebnis“.

Unfortunately, most of it didn't reach Excel so far :(

Can you please follow up on this matter?

Thanks,

Dominik.

Hi @Dominik Petri, so we investigated these this morning and found that we had made changes in Subscription, Office 2016 perpetual & Office 2013 perpetual (the last 2 through Product updates). In fact we have screen shots showing the changes implemented. But maybe there are from a different part of the UI to what you are looking at. We are checking further to see if the changes in subscription we made were reverted in some way. I will reach out to you privately to share those screens and get some further information from you on what build you are using and what part of the UI you are referring to. Regards, Stafford

Hi @Stafford Quaid, good point! I rarely use the dialog "Value Field Settings". I almost use the context menu (right click on a figure in my PivotTable). While the "Value Field Settings" dialog has been changed, the context menu is still wrong (see attached screenshot) :)

Hi @Dominik Petri we will take a look at those strings that appear when you right click on a figure in my PivotTable. We will investigate further and if there are not too risky to change then we will make the changes. Leave it with us. Regards, Stafford

Hi @Dominik Petri

As may have noticed we also changed in the second location you mentioned shortly after you reported this. Thanks! Staff
