Strange Teams/Outlook Calendar Time Zone Issue

Copper Contributor

Hi All,

We enforce the timezones for our pools based on our user's locations via a Powershell script on startup. For 95% of the time, we have no issues with our users however from time to time we have reports from some of our users (UK Based) that the time goes completely out of sync and defaults to "West Central Africa " time which a user can change within Outlook. The strange thing is that one user's calendar affects the time of the whole host. We have no idea where that default timezone comes from.

Another interesting thing when this happens is that when setting Teams meetings from within Teams, the calendar is an hour behind.

Has anyone come across a similar situation? If so, how have you solved it?

Just wondering what the Powershell script does? We set ours to take the timezone from the user logging in, via Group Policy, and that seems to work OK.
