In this episode of Data Exposed with Anna Hoffman and Sravani Saluru, they'll discuss the benefits of the newly announced Windows Authentication for Azure AD principals now Generally Available on SQL Managed instance! Windows Authentication presents additional single-sign-on option for SQL Managed Instance Azure AD users.

Compared to the previously available options, it brings the following benefits:

- Works with legacy drivers, that don't have built-in Azure AD support

- Works on both Domain Joined, and Azure Active Directory Joined machines

- Works in double-hop scenarios (i.e., IIS impersonation)
