Experiencing Data Latency issue in Azure Portal for Many Data Types - 02/20 - Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 02/14, 13:10 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 02/14, 08:44 UTC and that during the 4 hours & 26 minutes that it took to resolve the issue some of customers experienced Data Latency in EUS.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to a backend cluster becoming unhealthy.

We understand that customers rely on Azure Log Analytics as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.

We continue to investigate issues within Log Analytics . Data Access issue has now been fixed. However, some customers may still continue to experience Data Latency in EUS. Root cause is not fully understood at this time. We are working to establish the start time for the issue, initial findings indicate that the problem began at 02/14 08:44 UTC. We currently have no estimate for resolution for Data Latency.

We are aware of issues within Log Analytics and are actively investigating. Some customers in EUS may experience Data Access and Data Latency.
