We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 6/7, 14:14 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 6/7, 12:30 UTC and that during the 1 hours and 44 minutes that it took to resolve the issue. Some customers with Application Insights components in South Africa North region may have experienced intermittent data gaps and incorrect alert activation.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to the dependent backend service which went into unhealthy state.

We continue to investigate issues within Application Insights. Root cause is not fully understood at this time. Some customers with Application Insights components in South Africa North region may experience intermittent data gaps and incorrect alert activation. Initial findings indicate that the problem began at 06/07 12:30 UTC. We currently have no estimate for resolution.
