We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 06/24, 01:22 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 06/23, 23:00 UTC and that during the 2 hours and 22 minutes that it took to resolve the issue. Some customers using Application Insights components in West Europe who may have experienced intermittent data gaps and incorrect alert activation.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to a configuration change which caused a backend service to become unhealthy.

We continue to investigate issues within Application Insights. Current Root cause is pointing to a invalid configuration change, we are currently performing a failover to a healthy backend for mitigation. Some customers still may experience intermittent data gaps and incorrect alert activation.
