We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 07/09, 08:50 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 07/09, 08:15 UTC and that during the 35 minutes that it took to resolve the issue. Some of the customer using Azure monitor for Metric APIs or alerts who may have experienced data latencies when attempting to query for metrics for Microsoft.Web also might have experienced false or delayed alerts.

- Root Cause: The failure was due to dependent backend service which Azure Monitor relies upon became unhealthy.
