We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 09/01, 03:50 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 09/01, 02:50 UTC and that during the 1 hour that it took to resolve the issue customers in the East US region experienced possible data latency and incorrect alert activation.
Root Cause: The failure was due to stalling of a back end dependency.
