Experiencing Data Gaps issue in Azure Portal - 08/07 - Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 8/7, 20:45 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 8/7, 06:30 UTC and that during the 14 hours and 15 that it took to resolve the issue 10% of customers using non-retrying SDKs in the West Europe Region could have experienced data gaps with a residual ~2% during the mitigation process.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to one of our backend services

We are aware of issues within Application Insights and are actively investigating.Some customers sending data in the West Europe region, which are using non-retrying SDK-s (including, but not limited to JavaScript SDK) may experience Data Gaps.
