Experiencing Data Access issue in Azure Portal for Many Data Types - 11/30 - Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 11/30, 14:35 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 11/30, 12:05 UTC and that during the 2 hours and 30 minutes that it took to resolve the issue ~6% of customers would have experienced data access issues in Azure Portal.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to performance degradation in one of our dependent platform services.
  • Incident Timeline: 2 Hours & 35 minutes - 11/30, 12:05 UTC through 11/30, 14:35 UTC
We understand that customers rely on Application Insights as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.
