We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 10/17, 10:50 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 10/17, 08:45 UTC and that during the 2 hours 5 minutes that it took to resolve the issue 6% of customers experienced data access issues in the Azure portal.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to issues in one of our dependent service .

We understand that customers rely on Application Insights as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.

We continue to investigate issues within Application Insights.Some customers continue to experience data access issues in the Azure portal. Initial findings indicate that the problem began at 10/17~08:45 UTC.
