We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 06/24, 14:43 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 06/24, 13:40 UTC and that during the 1 hour and 3 minutes that it took to resolve the issue. Some customers using Azure Monitor who may have seen intermittent failures when retrieving metric data through the Azure portal or when retrieving data programmatically.

- Root Cause: The failure was due to backend service in the query pipeline became degraded due to unexpected workload, causing the failures.
