Wikipedia describes RSS as the following: RSS […] uses a family of standard web feed formats to publish frequently updated information: blog entries, news headlines, audio, video.

RSS feeds put the latest blog entries into a specific XML format and you can use different programs to consume these RSS feeds (for example Outlook).

The Microsoft Technical Community allows you to subscribe to RSS feeds for nearly anything – blogs, forums, even specific forum posts to follow answers.  In the following screenshot you can see the how to locate the RSS feed for the Skype for Business blog.

The nice thing about RSS feeds is that you can also use them to automatically post new blog posts in existing communication solutions such as Yammer or Microsoft teams.

Posting to Yammer from RSS
Microsoft Flow is a product that allows you to automate tasks – such as monitoring an RSS feed and posting to a Yammer group whenever a new article has been posted.  The flow for RSS to Yammer can be found here.

While the process is pretty straight forward, @Deleted has detailed step by step description on how to set it up on his blog.

Posting to Microsoft Teams from RSS
One of the strengths of Microsoft Teams are it’s connectors.
Via the RSS connector for all new blog posts the blog title and link will be posted to the channel of your choice.
