There is a problem with File History; a protest is lodged.
Your Microsoft technical team has repeatedly corrupted file history. Since the July 28th/August 13th updates KB5101684/KB5120249, my file history has reappeared. Backups to the D drive are successful, but the backup times cannot be synchronized. Newly created or saved Word documents, images, videos, etc., still show "No previous version available" in "Properties → Previous Versions". The folder is not being corrected; its date is automatically changed. Until Wednesday's updates KB5124008, KB5126052, KB5126146, KB5122878, and KB890830, the file history was corrupted and disabled, resulting in an "InconsistentState" entry in C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\FileHistory\Configuration. Why did Microsoft disable it? Everyone is using it, and I'm extremely angry. Many users have reported encountering this issue on various forums. Microsoft, stop deceiving us! I demand that Microsoft review this matter immediately and release an emergency update as soon as possible to restore the file history to its original state. The five updates installed are:KB5122878,KB5126146,KB5124008,KB5126052,KB890830 Anyone else experiencing the same issue as me can report it to the media and have Microsoft confirm the error. Furthermore, "File History" itself is not listed in Microsoft's "Deprecated Features List." While other backup features suggest that Microsoft has no plans to discontinue it. Microsoft is going to pretend it doesn't exist.
Security update 5124008 disabled my sound card.
The KB5124008 update has disabled my external Lexicon Alpha Studio audio interface. There are numerous reports on forums indicating that this issue is affecting many users. I am receiving Error Code 10: the device is detected and appears in the system, but Windows is unable to start it. Unfortunately, I reinstalled my system because I initially thought I had a virus, and now I cannot even uninstall this update because it is integrated into the Windows installation media. I am 100% certain that the update is causing the problem. I tested the device on another computer, where it works perfectly, and the USB port itself is also functioning correctly. I also installed an older version of Windows that does not include this update, and the Lexicon Alpha works normally there as well. This clearly indicates that KB5124008 is causing the incompatibility. We kindly ask Microsoft to investigate this issue and release a fix as soon as possible. GSOD and Chrome left open issue after updating to Insider Preview build 29661.1000
This issue is caused by the AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics driver (version 31.0.21925.1001), which triggers a GSOD (Green Screen of Death) with the error code `SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED` (0x7E)—indicating a failure of the dxgmms2.sys file—while Chrome browser windows, websites, or applications are left open. The incidents occurred twice on September 11, 2026, between 11:33 AM and 12:02 PM, and the issue remains unresolved. Windows Stopped updating and failed to install updates
Windows Update stopped updating after i restarted the pc apparently during a update. there was an icon when i was preventing me from turning off the pc but it hadn't had an clear icon and text on it so i assumed it was nko big deal bur from that day windows refuses to update and it keeps failing updates to " try again" (opnieuw proberen) and insist i download and install "windows 11 25h2 (restore)" file but even when i want to try installing it and its set for a restart. even then the restore fails and says "try again" i think my only option is to "upgrade" the same windows again to keep my files right? or is there still another option or a tool that can fix the system or update files? because i also have tried DISM restore health option and i even let it check with an windows restore usb stick with the windows ISO on it and check it with the install.swm file and that resulted in a "no problems found" also the windows update troubleshooter diagnostic failed to run any idea how i can still fix this without reinstalling windows ?Taskbar thumbnails stop showing previews and just display blank squares
When I hover over taskbar icons, the preview thumbnails show up as blank squares instead of live previews of the windows. It happens randomly—sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't—and restarting Explorer only fixes it for a few minutes. I've already disabled and re-enabled thumbnail previews, cleared the thumbnail cache, and checked for updates. Nothing stuck. Anyone else seen this or know how to fix it?
NVIDIA graphics card no longer recognised by Windows during an update.
I have a NVIDIA GEFORCE 1050 ti card. It was working fine. I did a Windows 11 Update (September) and while it was updating - just after 30% - my screen flashes a couple of times (like the driver was updating) and went black. I waited a few hours with a black screen and the dediced to plug into the intel card my PC also had and discovered that my update was complete and it was waiting for me to login. But Windows no longer recognised my NVIDIA card. The driver was still there but shaded out. Steps to get it back suggested deleting the driver and doing a full reboot (power off, hold the button for a X amount of seconds) etc. I have an older Dell Studio (about 6-7 years) and have had no issues with updates or the driver card not being recognised before. I did resinstall a new power unit about 12 months ago. Obviously, trying to get it to work seems a huge hassle as its not as simple as installing the correct driver. How do I get Windows to recognise the card again? (I have completed a Device Driver scan for hardware changes multiple times with no change.) Do I roll back? Has anyone noticed changes in Geometry Dash performance after installing a recent Windows 11 Insider build? I'm particularly interested in cases where the average FPS looks normal but the game still feels less smooth because of frame-time spikes, refresh-rate changes, or inconsistent frame pacing. Geometry Dash isn't a particularly demanding game, so it seems like a useful title for testing whether a Windows update or graphics-driver change is affecting low-latency 2D games. What settings would you recommend checking first—hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling, graphics drivers, Windows Game Mode, refresh rate, or something else?
