We are having an issue with Excel and onedrive/sharepoint that when we are offline on customer sites with our surface pros. A VBnet program we developed with Excel saves its progress and generated pdfs to the cloud first: https://xxx-my.sharepoint.com which it can't do when offline, this causes the excel app issues because it hasn't actually saved its progress in our onedrives offline as it can't reach sharepoint to first. It is important that we can change this as a setting as issuing this program out to our field staff, we need to have it as user-friendly as possible and reduce the chance of errors occurring and confusing our team. We know you can save to the local onedrive explicitly first by going to 'browse' from the 'save as' which prevents the issue but we need to mitigate issues rather than provide more complicated guidance.1.9KViews0likes4CommentsSharePoint and Outlook Calendar Syncing Functionality
Hello all, New to the forum. Here is my situation and some background: Currently, I have a calendar created under my account that is shared with many individuals within my organization to add appointments to communicate who will be in-office. What I'd like to do is move this calendar over (or sync) to a new SharePoint modern communications site (intranet) since this calendar is already established and being used. We are still in the process of getting our site approval, but the process of doing this seems straight forward. In the event that I promote outside my current organization, what will happen to the synced calendar on SharePoint since it is shared from my account associated with my current org? Will there be issues since this is the origin of the calendar? If there are potential issues with this, any recommendations on how to more efficiently set this up? Will I have to start over with a calendar on SharePoint instead of how things are currently setup? I appreciate any advice/guidance 🙂942Views0likes1CommentIssues with syncing SPO libraries to Apple laptops
I am working with an organisation that has found syncing issues from largish SPO libraries (50K items or more) to (current) Apple laptops. They don't have the same issues with Windows machines. Most of the issues appear to relate to 'bad' or incomplete syncs, where the only answer has been to remove the synced library and then re-sync. I've suggested various options, including making sure the documents have synced before closing down but many users have started going back to DropBox as it 'doesn't have these issues'. Does anyone have any direct or anecdotal feedback on syncing issues with Apples instead of Windows devices?1KViews0likes1Comment
