Teams Room "Cannot Fetch Calendar"
Good day, I have just finished setting up our Lenovo ThinkSmart Hub500. Creating the room and users account as per MS instructions is all done and Teams Room is logged in. I can start a new meeting and project but no meetings are showing up. At the top it says "Cannot Fetch Calendar". What are we doing wrong? I see multiple instances of chats with the same contact. This is really cluttering up my Skype for Business app window in both my mobile iOS and my desktop app. Example: Chat session with Joe at 10:00 for 10 minutes Chat session with Joe again at 14:00 for 15 minutes Now I see two separate chat streams with the same contact. Why isn't this singular? If I have a chat session with Joe and i do not actively remove/delete that chat session, shouldn't it just continue the next time one of us write? Is this by design? Do I need to adjust something in Skype for Business Admin on 365? I am using latest builds . iOS Version 6.11.1.310 and Mac OSX 16.2.156 Please help, this is sure to cause complaints amongst staff and I expect will introduce user acceptance numbers to drop. Especially if this is to be compard to WhatsApp, or any attempt to replace WhatsApp. Cheers p
Building IVR with skype for business
Dear, I've currently an E3 license available. I'd like to do the following setup : 1. Physical number reachable from POTS 2. Voice prompt with options (IVR) 3. One of the options would be oncall services. This will reach out to two numbers (cellphone). If none is picked up, the message is recorded and send to the email address with the useful information (date, time, message, ...) How can I implement this and what are the licenses needed? thanks, Tim

Hi, We have a demo for the logitec smartdock. We have a hybrid env with ADFS. This is what we did. Create user onprem. (pw never expires) synced to the cloud create mailbox onprem migrated mailbox to cloud changed mailbox to room Set-Mailbox mail@domain.com -Type Room Then we added the proper license E1 Then i logged in to sfbonline powershell and did the following command. First found out what our registrarpool was. Enable-CsMeetingRoom -Identity mail@domain.com -RegistrarPool 'ourdomain.com' -SipAddressType MailAddress When this was ok i tryed to logon to sfb on my phone with new user this is no problem. However when we add the credendtials to the logitech smartdock we get following error. we can't sign you in because the server couldn't be reached or the server version is incompatible. Device is not joined to the domain. Any ideas ? Kind Regards, David
Call Queue Answer Delays
It takes anywhere from 3-5 seconds when answering a call from a Call Queue to be able to speak, is there anything being done to shorten this time? In testing we have seen that Polycom handsets take the longest, and USB headsets are usually the shortest, but it is still a significant amount of time.
Audio Conferencing adding multiple dial-in numbers
Hi Everyone, Recently we rolled out S4B audio conferencing for our staff. However whenever they are creating any Skype or Team's meeting Only one dial-in number is displayed. How can I display more then one dial-in number from different countries. I can see the list of numbers in Microsoft bridge but unable find option to list multiple numbers. Hi, We are looking to move from a 3rd party UC solution to Skype for Busniess (fully in the cloud, as we have no on-prem Lync or Skype footprint) but we have a number of analog devices that would need a solution in order to integrate them into the envirnment. My question is: 1) Is a small SBA the only way to do this, or are there even smaller 1-line 'adapters'. 2) does the presence of an analog requirement anywhere in our environment mean that we'd have to deploy Cloud Connector to service that endpoint and integrate it into the Cloud PBX solution? - Someone told me that SBAs cannot integrate directly to a cloud deployment. My first plan is to design these analog devices out of our system, but I suspect that we'll probably have to deploy some localized hardware to support the odd few. cheers, Alan
Skype for Business vs. Whatsapp
There is a group in my enterprise who is considering the use of Whatsapp rather than Skype for Business (we're already a S4B Online shop). I would like to think that most, if not all, of the Whatsapp functionality can be covered by Skype for Business Online. Do any of you have experience with this comparison? Any ideas on how to influence this group? Thanks!
