I want to set JPY for Japanese customers to avoid FX rate impact on Japanese market. How long does it take to make change? Also, when is it possible to create private offer in JPY? A: this FAQ has a specific question that covers same currency sale and purchase if that currency isn't USD. Or right after setting the local currency with excel spreadsheet, can it show up on marketplace? A: It depends: if a new plan (or private offer) is being set up then the FX will be the rate that applies when the price is saved. Once the plan or private offer publishes the price will be available immediately post publication. If the price is being updated in an existing plan or private offer, then the answer in the image below should help - if it's an increase then yes it will take 90 days. Hey folks, We're looking to incorporate Azure OpenAI GPT functionlaity into one of our Teams apps. A while ago, we got the "Welcome to the Azure OpenAI Service"! from Cognitive services at Microsoft, but not API Key. Or at least we can't find any associated API Key. Q: What role do LSPs (licensing service providers) play in the marketplace transaction? A: The LSP plays a role in managing billing, invoicing, tax collection, and other administrative functions for customers that buy from MSFT directly (and often have MACCs). LSPs generally mark-up the Azure invoice for their services. LSPs may be present in many markets. At the marketplace transaction-level… For customer private offers: LSPs may be present in the deal flow (becausec they deliver and administrate the Azure invoice), but will not be party to the marketplace transaction…ie the partner will not name them in the private offer. If the partner chooses to offer margin to the LSP, that’s between the partner, customer, and the LSP. For the CSP offer…this is where the customer buys Azure from a partner participating in our CSP program and would by the partner's solution through the CSP as well. MSFT doesn’t sell directly to this customer, hence there is no MACC. For MPO (multiparty private offer), same rules apply as #1. There could be a scenario where the MPO selling partner (ie the reseller or disty) could also play an LSP role for the customer, but that’s not a pattern we’ve seen yet.3.1KViews2likes0CommentsMultiparty private offer (MPO) for selling partners
I just wanted to share some best practices if you, as a selling partner, are working on an MPO deal with an ISV to sell an offer to an end customer. A MPO can be set up quickly in Partner Center; however, it's required that your account is enabled for MPO first. Not meeting the requirements can delay you from completing the deal on time. I highly recommend that you check all the requirements below and complete the sign-up in advance. It will save you a lot of time when you move further into setting up the deal. Below are the requirements: You have enrolled in the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program. You have created a commercial marketplace account in Partner Center. Your account is enrolled in the commercial marketplace program. You have a completed United States tax profile in Partner Center for commercial marketplace. An ISV has created a multiparty private offer for you. The offer you want to sell privately has been published to the marketplace and is publicly transactable. You're creating a multiparty private offer for a customer that is eligible to purchase multiparty private offers. Review the customer eligibility criteria. You have a marketplace developer, manager, or account owner role associated with your marketplace seller ID.
