Mobile prefix and SMS tick box visible for just one staff member.
One of our Staff Member's bookings looks different to everyone else, this has only just changed, it used to look the same as everybody else's. (maybe the IT team changed a setting in the background). Does anyone know what setting would do this and where that setting is so that we can change hers back? She suddenly needs to put a prefix to the phone number, and has a checkbox for SMS's (we are in Australia so we don't have SMS as an option).
Teams Phone Numbers Mysteriously Unassigned
Over the last 2 weeks or so, we've noticed a handful of our Teams phone numbers which were assigned to users, become Unassigned. We have no automation in place - everything move, add or change we perform with our phone numbers is manual. The numbers in question have been assigned for months now. It wasn't until my phone number was assigned to someone else that we realized the issue. In order to assign a phone number that is already assigned, you'd have to delete the current user - which we certainly have not done. Mysteriously, the phone number status changed from assigned to unassigned. Has anyone experienced this? We have Operator Connect through Pure-IP. Thye don't touch our numbers once they are given to us in the Admin portal (or do they?). My MS Premier ticket came up empty. Apparently there are no audit logs for phone numbers, just licenses. If contact does not have a mail address but a phone number and you click to this phone number, Teams V2 does nothing. LineURI with Same Phone Number and Different Extension
I have a department that wants all of their outgoing calls to go from one number. I have a set of test phones which I changed to do this process, but I wanted to make sure I am not going to break anything or cause issues at a later time. What I did was set the Line URI to be in the following format: tel:+1######3537;ext=3524 Where the tel:+1######3537 remains the same for each of the numbers, but ;ext=3524 is whatever number that phone is logged on as. It appears to work as I can still call the 3524 in this case and it rings to the correct phone or vice versa. If I call outside of our campus, caller ID displays as ###-###-3537 which is correct. Again, I want to make sure I am not causing any new issues or issues down the road. I know that the ext=#### is simply to allow us to be able to log on easily to a phone in our case using PIN. Does doing this set up cause any issues or are others doing this to control how caller ID goes out for some areas? If this works, I can see using this similar set up for department chairs or others that do not want to display their real number. For this set up, I did not want to create private numbers which we have done, but if the above process works, then I would like to set this up. We are a hybrid setup.
