Skype for Business not Launching (SOLVED)
Dear All, After a migration from Lync,Exchange to Office365 we have 1 user that is unable to connect not even launch Skype for Business. The environment is Server2008R2,Citrix Xenapp 6.5,appsense based using thin clients , Office365 uses OKTA as authenticator, the user profile is mandatory (spoofed + folder redirection) and is removed after logoff (so a clean user profile at each logon) The user can use Outlook locally and connect to OWA + use the Skype online , Office2016 is connected to the account. The problem is when the client is launched , the splash screen appears .. and that is it , in the event log the following is seen. --- Faulting application name: lync.exe, version: 16.0.8201.2193, time stamp: 0x59b28539 Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7601.24308, time stamp: 0x5be85cc7 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x0004ebab Faulting process id: 0x6f24 Faulting application start time: 0x01d4cf4f310f4f80 Faulting application path: C:,Program Files (x86),Microsoft Office,root,Office16,lync.exe Faulting module path: C:,windows,SysWOW64,ntdll.dll --- Some things that can be ruled out are local problems with the installation , the user is having this issue on all 25 servers and 250+ other users do not have any issue , to make it even more challenging we had her try to use Skype on a laptop , same issue! We compared the AD account+attributes with some of her colleagues and we do not see any difference (exept she has a SIDhistory object) , also we cleared the appsense profile and all redirected + cached folder making this a fresh logged on user. Anyone has some ideas what can cause this problem?
Modern teamsites - unable to change permission level for security groups
I noticed that for a newly created modern teamsite (via New-PnPSite) I'm unable to change permission levels for the out of the box security groups. For example, I go to /user.aspx and put a check mark in front of a security group. Usually, the "Edit User Permissions" and "Remove User Permissions" menus become selectable. However, for modern teamsites they remain greyed out although I'm a site collection admin: The unfortunate thing is is that I can grant additional permission levels through the leftmost "Grant permissions" button but because "Edit User Permissions" is always greyed out, I cannot remove them. Hi I've used Excel for years and always used the Enter key for pasting data Recently the enter key stopped performing the paste funtion on a couple of machines, just drops one line instead, so you have to use ctrl + V to paste, which i don't want ... (call me stuck in a rut or just too old to change!) Please note paste still works with all teh other methods, like Ctrl+V, right click and the edit menu etc, it's just the enter key that's stopped working for paste... On several other machines I can paste data using the enter key (all running office365 latest versions), so the feature has not been removed, it's just affecting 1 or 2 machines, so not a one off either! This morning on one machine which WAS still working for pasting with enter key, after quiting and restart excel 9not the PC, no updates or anything) it's stopped working, so now none of my own machines work! Enough is enough, I need a fix please! 2 of my machines the enter key stopped pasting a GOOD while ago, all have been running office365 (so excel 2016) for about 18-24months, all from the same family office account, all updated regularly, so currently on version 1711 build 8730.2122. one is Windows 7, rest are all Windows10 x64 I have checked the options and advanced features, but nothing there. I having searched google, found little relevant except a post, which suggested a "full repair online re-install" but this has not fixed the issue. Microsoft linked helpdesk (using the help chat option inside excel) got me nowhere, except a sore head :-( I don't have any clipboard managers enabled on all the machines in question, might have on one of them, and do use a KVM screen sharing tool called Multiplicity on them all, but this has not been updated recently, and did not affect the machine that continued to work using enter (until it stopped earlier today!), so can't see that being a factor? The feature was inbuilt into Excel, it was not an external macro or some VBA, although would consider using a fix using these if that was the only solution (if anyone has some code to share), but I'd much rather fix the issue via correct configuration, or registry key or whatever! Ok, so I thought I was pretty good at Excel until I had this issue. I copy a cell and then paste. Then went to add a row. Well, I was surprised when the pasted value ending up in the whole row. I am using Office 365 and have searched for a solution, didn't find one. Went to Support and conntected with help who wanted me to repair online my version as Safe mode wouldn't work. Since it is not my office I had our company IT do this (repair was what they did). However, this was not the fix. It fixed the ability to open Excel in Safe mode, but not my clearing clipboard issue. So am stuck. I know on non-365 you could copy paste and then paste more if you chose to and then when you didn't want the clipboard you hit Delete and good to go, insert cells or rows with no dire consequences. Please help! Is there a way to clear the clipboard (outside of leaving the clipboard open and manually clearing it (which is ineffective and terrible for productivity)?SS46: Hey Edge - voice control

The same for all other examples You can even integrate a smart Hey Edge, where i can combine my manual and Hey Edge actions. Example: i'm reading a pdf. at the same time i say "Hey Edge, pdf right once i say NOW". then i read pdf on tab 2, 3, 4, 5. Once done i say "NOW" and you export all pdf to the right (based on the tabs where i requested this rule). This means in the same time i can close and open new tabs, you do the action only once i say "NOW". Such "NOW" actions can be implemented in so many workflows and would be a great productivity boost.
