Turn off posted news notification to teams
Hi everyone, When someone posts news on the SharePoint site, some users receive notifications in their Teams. How can I turn off these notifications from the SharePoint site admin side? If this is due to Viva Connections, how can I configure it? My goal is to prevent notifications from being sent to Teams after news is posted. Thank you
Automatic Version History in SharePoint Online
Hi, I want to turn on Automatic Version History to reduce storage. Has anyone implemented this on existing Large Libraries? What I want to know is, does it use the current meta data and delete versions straight away and free up space quickly? Or will it only start analysing from when you change the setting and i'll have to wait a longer time to reduce versions? Many thanks! Chris
Jobs in Migration Manager stuck in 'finalizing' state for hours
I'm migrating a couple of hundred personal drives and about 50 shared drives from Google Workspace to SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business. I've got everything mapped in the Migration Manager, and when I launch migrations, they run for a few minutes, change to 'finalizing' while all of the files appear in the 'Failed Files' column. They'll stay this way sometimes for 8 hours or more. At this rate, it'll be impossible for me to cut over my users in one evening. Is anyone else seeing this issue? TIA Mike
Sharepoint list "group by" and "filter" function not working correctly after editing items
Hi everyone! I currently have a sharepoint list with a column named [Print Status], which has two options [Pending Print] & [Printed]. Previously when i edit all item under [Pending Print] & [Printed], all items will move to the correct group immediately. However, with the new User Interface, I encounted this problem (as shown below), whereby the items will not move to the correct group automatically, and some columns appear as [object Object]. ^ all items in this example have already been changed to [Printed], but still appears as [Pending Print] However once i refresh the page, the items move according. Is there any way to fix this such that I don't need a manual refresh for the page everytime? Thanks!
Unable to change Folder Content Type to Document Set or Vise Versa
Hoping I can get some assistance. Issue: I have a SharePoint library that uses document sets. This library is sync'd to a few staff members local computers so they can manage files. Staff have been creating new folders in the local explorer. This is fine, however they folders are created as the content type "Folder" instead of the document set content type. We used to be able to go into the SharePoint library on the browser and change the content type from folder from the information pane, now we can only do it using rest api. Does anyone know when this feature will be available or if there is a setting I need to turn on to make it work?SharePoint, Brand Center and CDN questions
I'm hoping someone can help me untangle the new Brand Center and the CDNs it is using My understanding: You can create Org Asset Libraries that use private CDNs The Brand Center requires the use of a public CDN You can have an existing org asset library in place when you create the brand center, and the brand center will use the site where the existing org asset libraries are as the brand center app/site BUT - you have to enable the use of the public CDN when adding brand center to the org asset site. This is the part I haven't found documentation detailing the public vs private CDNs used for this feature. Questions: What content is being broadcast on the public CDN when you create a brand center from scratch? Is it just the fonts, or are other assets created with the brand center utilizing the public CDN? Do org asset libraries using private CDNs continue to use private CDNs after adding the brand center or are the private CDNs converted to public CDNs? Can you add more private CDN org asset libraries to an existing brand center, or are all asset libraries created going forward using the public CDN?SharePoint Modern News Web Part Error - "Something went wrong"
After successfully running gulp serve and attempting to add my custom web part (specifically a news web part) to a modern SharePoint page, I encountered the following error: Something went wrong If the problem persists, contact the site administrator and give them the information in Technical Details.
