Hello, Our team has been using MS Forms to successfully deliver assessments to large online classes (1200+ students). Forms has provided our class with a significant amount of flexibility in data collection/processing and is the clear front runner for what we need to quickly/easily/reliably deliver our content. However, there is currently one aspect of Forms that is causing my team to reconsider its usage. The issue surrounds equity, diversity, and inclusion and how forms currently handles the welcome messages when the "record name" feature is turned on. This feature has to do with the ability (or lack there of) to adjust the welcome message that is displayed to folks on login to a form that is set to record name/email. For a user group of our size (1200+) we absolutely need to have the name/email of participants recorded. However, we have come to find that Forms is pulling the first name for folks from a system that we have been told, cannot be integrated with our existing systems to draw preferred names (like Teams and other Office 365 products can). While I understand that integrating a variety of systems to allow this to occur is no small task...I wondered if it would be possible to implement something into Forms in the meantime: Feature Request Options: 1. Would it be possible to add an option to record name/email, but give the form owner the option to NOT display the form welcome message? 2. Would it be possible to have the welcome message instead call up/display the "email" variable that has been recorded in the welcome message INSTEAD of Name? Either of these options would greatly improve our options for equity, diversity, and inclusion within our forms and class....and I'm hopeful that they would be more easily implemented on the short term. Again, we have been very pleased with forms and what it has been able to provide for our large class assessments/surveys but would GREATLY appreciate some flexibility in the welcome message to folks are not greeting with incorrect names. Cheers, Jenn5.9KViews10likes13CommentsForms Ideas
Does anyone know if there's a portal to submit ideas for MS Forms? I saw a link to one on a post from 2018 but that site is no longer live. I've accidentally moved a form to the wrong group, and there is no way to undo or move to a different group. I'd like to submit this, or upvote existing ideas, to resolve this issue. If you can move a form to a group, you should be able to move it back to yourself or move to a different group, especially if you're an owner for that group. Usually it's as simple as Googling "MS Forms Ideas" but all I've been able to find is this community.78Views1like1CommentMultilingual forms unavailable under Premium license
Hello World ! Looking for insight on a feature access issue. The target is to create a multilingual form (survey for a tennis club) The club acquired a Microsoft 365 Premium license, with the understanding this is the license level for Multilingual forms to be available as a feature. When I open Forms as the account admin, the multilingual option is not there. I am using Edge on a home PC. I connect to Windows 11 as myself, and I am also the owner of a Microsoft 365 Family subscription, which DOES NOT include multilingual form. What am I missing ??? Thank you for any insight !Solved70Views0likes1CommentGrammar error in french
There is an grammar error in the french translation of the automatically added notice on every Forms: "When you submit this form, it will not automatically collect your details like name and email address unless you provide it yourself." It presently reads: "Lorsque vous envoyez ce formulaire, il ne collecte pas automatiquement vos détails, tels que le nom et l’adresse de courriel, sauf si vous le fournissez vous-même." There should be a "s" at the end of "vous-mêmes."58Views0likes0CommentsView "My Responses" don't display correctly
Hi all, There seems to be an issue in the response displayed when someone fills out a form with 5 stars and when they look at the response, it only shows 4 stars. It is recorded correctly in all the other places, it just displays incorrectly (4stars). see attached. I am not sure if this is a known issue. Has anyone else seen this problem? Thank you, -- Ray1.1KViews1like1Commentrich text editor on long answers
To whom may concern, I have created a microsoft form that has an question that allows for long answers. I was wondering if there is a way to allow the person who is answering to have a rich text editor, so the respondent can use bullet points, italic, bold etc.... someone created a MS Form and embeded it on a sharepoint online page. The form is giving an error now but no one knows who created it and I can only find the URL to the form, nothing else. How do I find the owner or take ownership so we can work on the form? thank youSolved109KViews2likes33CommentsSubmission date and time for Forms extracted using power automate
I am using power automate to extract responses from a Form into excel. I had thought that I would be able to use the forms generated submission date/time for analysis. However, the format (7/27/22 13:17:32) extracted doesn't seem to be excel compatible. What I mean is that I am unable to reformat it using the format cell functionality, or even transform it into a number, as you can with standard dates in excel. I am just wondering if I am missing something here or whether I need to get the user to actually select the date of submission?4.1KViews0likes2CommentsMicrosoft Forms interface stuck in Swedish after login – account language is Italian
Hello, Microsoft Forms is displayed in Swedish after I sign in, even though all my language settings are set to Italian (Italy). I have already checked the following: Microsoft account display language: Italian (Italy) Microsoft 365 interface: Italian Microsoft Edge preferred/display language: Italian The issue also occurs in an InPrivate session Before signing in, the Microsoft Forms website is correctly displayed in Italian. Immediately after signing in, the Forms dashboard and editor switch to Swedish. This suggests that the locale/language associated with my Microsoft Forms profile may be incorrectly stored as Swedish on the service side. I have already contacted Microsoft Consumer Support. They confirmed that they cannot access the Microsoft Forms backend or modify the Forms profile locale, and advised me to report the issue here and through the Microsoft Forms feedback function. I also tried the Feedback option inside Microsoft Forms, but clicking it does not open anything, both in normal browsing and InPrivate mode. Could someone please check whether the locale associated with my Microsoft Forms profile can be reset from Swedish to Italian (it-IT)? Thank you.810Views0likes4CommentsUsing comma as separator in Forms
I live in The Netherlands and we use a comma as a decimal separator. However when I use Microsoft Forms it doesn't accept the comma, it removes it. See below. Both Windows and Google Chrome have the right regional settings, namely Dutch. The strange thing is that when I do the same in a Sharepoint list, it works correct. So the problem seems to be with Microsoft Forms. Any ideas anyone? ps I have also set the primary language to Dutch.6KViews3likes7Comments
