To-Do Overdue tasks
Tasks in folders that are not completed lose focus. All my tasks are in folders to categorize them. Whether I flag the task as "My Day" or not, the next day the task is not in "My Day" or in "Planned" views. I suggest that the tasks stay in these views showing as "Overdue". Or is there something I should be doing differently?
Template and automation for To-do and Planner tasks
I really want to take advantage of Microsoft 365 To-do and Planner for my workflow, after months of using these two apps I found them have a lot of potential but fell short of being practical due to the poor-sighted UX design, lack of automation support, and weak integration with other 365 apps, Outlook in particular. Lack of template support (To-do, Planner): This is a crucial flaw of both To-do and Planner. For repetitive work flow, I want the ability to have a template of tasks and subtasks. Currently I'm making template by creating tasks or plans, name them "[Template]", and manually clone them. This is tacky as my "Template" tasks and plans kept populated under suggestions for things to do. Lack of automation (To-do, Planner): I want the ability to easily generate a particular template of task or plan from an Outlook email. This would speed up my work flow tremendously. Currently the best Microsoft offer in term of automation is to create a task with the email name and a link to that email. No subtasks nor planner integration whatsoever. Lack of bulk actions (To-do, Planner): This is specifically frustrating for Planner, I have to manually assign each task under a plan to myself, there is no option to assign tasks in bulk. Microsoft offers integration between To-do and Planner where Planner tasks can show up in my To-do list but only if it's assigned to me, what good does this integration do if the amount of manual work overtake the convenience? No archive option for Planner: Once a plan is completed, there is no option to archive it, user have to delete the plan or have it remains on UI forever, even the delete button is well-hidden. The lack of archive option means I cannot go back to previously completed plans and see the date each tasks is completed. Last but not least, it felt like these two apps don't get any attention from Microsoft. They rarely get updates, it's quite unsettling to use theses feeling like it's being abandoned by the company.

Dear Azure and Microsoft 365 Friends, Why do you actually take so many exams? What do you actually want to prove with them? These are two questions I am often asked. Let me answer these two questions (indirectly) in this article. First, however, I ask a counter question. For example, when it comes to the topic of Microsoft Cloud, how do you keep up to date?! Aha! That's where my passion for exams/certification comes from. Let's take the MS-500 (Microsoft 365 Certified Security Administrator Associate) certification as an example, let's take a look at the main topics for that: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/certifications/exams/ms-500 Implement and manage identity and access Implement and manage threat protection Implementing and managing information protection Managing governance and compliance functions in Microsoft 365. Included in all of these main topics are quite a few services/features from the Microsoft Cloud. Sometimes brand new features, but mostly existing products (always renewed). This is exactly a way for me to always be up to date about Microsoft's products. Small example for each main topic point: Azure AD Privileged Identity Management (PIM). Microsoft Defender for Office 365 Microsoft Cloud App Security Microsoft 365 Security Center I can take a closer look at all of these great features during exam prep and stay up to date. SO COOL! Another example, last time in a customer project. It was about implementing more security in the Microsoft 365 environment. New policies against spam, malware, etc. Also, the organization wanted to make the administrator roles available only for a certain time. Exactly, that sounds like Microsoft Defender for Office 365 and Privileged Identity Management (PIM). So I invested the time to get to know all these tools (ok, I am already familiar with these tools) in detail. NOW BUT, if time has already been invested in these tools, why not expand the scope, with the rest of the topics from the MS-500 and top off what I've learned with a certification!!! This is exactly what I love to do! So you see I don't want to prove anything to anyone. I hope I could motivate you to take a certification soon! I wish you in any case, MUCH SUCCESS!!! Why one earth is https://m365.cloud.microsoft/ and https://portal.office.com now redirecting directly to Copilot? What a stupid change. No one wants this. Users want quick access to their files and apps, which the old office portal would facilitate nicely. Stop forcing copilot on your customers.
