Hey y'all, I use Edge Dev on both Linux (at home) and Windows (at work). I started using Collections recently, and I was upset to find it doesn't work on Edge Linux (yes, my packages are up to date). Although I haven't tried Workspaces yet, it's not working either on Linux. Even if you enable it, it doesn't show up. I can see that the tab expands, but the button doesn't appear. With Collections, enabling has no effect at all. Is this a known bug, or it just doesn't work on Edge Linux yet? Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS x86_64. (Reposted from Microsoft Answers Community: Link) This started happening yesterday, and even after downgrading 2 versions back, then upgrading again, the issue won't go away. Here's what's going on: When I start Microsoft Edge Dev normally, through a shortcut on Linux, the browser opens fine, and will usually crash ~10 minutes later, or sometimes a few minutes later. But, when I start it from the terminal, it runs pretty fine, with very few crashes. Hi, https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-endpoint-manager-blog/microsoft-endpoint-manager-adds-management-and-compliance-checks/bc-p/3611732#M1064 Intune for Linux will be linked to the usage of Edge4Linux. So far so good. But ... .... https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/authentication/fido2-compatibility ... with no FIDO2 compatibility for Edge and just for Chrome this leads to a hard decision. Do I choose the conformity of the linux device or the best way to log into azure? Is security really an option for Microsoft? Has someone an info if and when FIDO2 support will come to Edge4Linux? Enjoying the user experience of Edge on Linux. The only thing that I'm missing in order to fully 'devote' myself to the browser is sync (bookmarks/tabs/etc) across devices. Is there currently a rough estimate on when this feature will be available? I tried searching for a discussion but I did not see anything. Thank you!14KViews23likes31CommentsWebsite Screenshots on Microsoft Edge Beta Linux
Greetings, all I used to take a lot of screenshots of web on Edge when I used Windows, but now I installed Edge Insider Beta on Linux, as a proper released version is not there. But that website screenshot feature isn't there. So, we have to activate it from settings or is the feature removed? But I expect the feature to be here as it is Beta version so feature come in here first. Hello MS Edge Devs, It would make Edge for Linux nicer to use if it had the same native features as Firefox for scrolling the browser window. It does not seem to have built-in features for enabling auto scroll and adjusting the scroll rate. This capture shows what I am referring to with Firefox This link also describes another feature that I am referring to: https://www.maketecheasier.com/change-the-scrolling-speed-in-firefox/ There are times when I prefer to use Edge vs. Firefox in Linux, but the default and seemingly hidden or not yet implemented controls for scrolling make the browser less convenient to use. I recognise that the browser is in beta for Linux at this time, and plans to implement these features may be on the road map. Thank you Devs for the work that you do 🙂1.9KViews1like0CommentsScreen Share on Linux Build on Wayland does not work
Screen Sharing on Linux build on Wayland needs chrome://flags/#enable-webrtc-pipewire-capturer to be enabled. I've seen this flag on all browsers based on chromium but not Edge, is there a particular reason? In a covid-19 world where online classes and meetings are very important, this flag might be the deal-breaker for many. Please consider adding this flag ( : I'm on the latest Edge Dev but on Arch Linux21KViews1like2Comments
