Hey all, I want to include a link on a website which automatically redirects you to calling a certain person in MS Teams. Similar like the 'mailto:' syntax works. I cannot figure out though, how to do this in MS Teams. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!Solved124KViews1like23CommentsLink videos in Stream together to create a series about a topic...
Hi all, Does someone know if it is possible to ‘link’ videos together? Let’s say you have 5 short videos about a specific topic. People need to start with the first video of the series, than the second etc. Can you set this up in MS Stream? So that Stream will automatically present, suggest the next video in the series to a viewer? Thanks!New OneDrive & SharePoint Feature: Fixing Unhealthy Sharing Links
Hi all, I wanted to drop by and let interested folks know about a new feature we are rolling out to help users deal with "unhealthy" links! We've seen a few cases recently where a user makes some permission changes (such as breaking inheritance manually via permissions API's) that can cause sharing links to become unhealthy, which means the links exist but they no longer grant actual access to the item. In these cases, the sharing dialog still returns the link but the recipient will be unable to use it. To help with these cases, we've made a change to Manage Access to now show these unhealthy links along with a new string to help guide users. In order to use that type of sharing link again, users can delete the existing link and then create a new one. Please note that in some cases, re-sharing the item with the same settings can often allow the service to automatically fix the link with no end user impact. We'll begin rolling this feature out to all customers soon. If you have any questions, please let me know! We very frequently save Outlook meetings as .ics files that we then upload in our targeted email tool to send out to our employees. We've recently noticed that if you include a hyperlink in the meeting details then save it as an .ics file, the saved file no longer retains the hyperlink and instead displays the full URL. Is anyone else experiencing this or know what's going on/how to fix it? Thanks. Screenshots attached.9.7KViews0likes6CommentsSharePoint Document link broken by URL encoding of "?" character
I ran into a a niche case today where the URL encoding of the "?" character to "%3F" in a SharePoint document link returns the error "Sorry, something went wrong. An unexpected error has occurred." Seems like something that SharePoint should be able to handle... This occurred when a user exported a PowerPoint to PDF on a Mac. Underlying error though is that the URL Encoded link doesn't work. Working link: https://{tenant}.sharepoint.com/:x:/s/{site}/{SharingCode}?e=Smsfl2 Failing link:https://{tenant}.sharepoint.com/:x:/s/{site}/{SharingCode}%3Fe=Smsfl2 This behaviour also fails for other links generated by Sharing documents Can anyone else confirm that they see this behaviour?7.8KViews0likes5CommentsFacts about Edge Stable version [+ Link] - And what we know so far
The Stable version of the new Edge browser is publicly available to download from Microsoft servers: https://c2rsetup.officeapps.live.com/c2r/downloadEdge.aspx?ProductreleaseID=Edge&platform=Default&version=Edge&Channel=Stable&language=en Keep Reading, it's not officially available on the front page and for any reason that Microsoft has, they let it stay online and available for us to test and use it. So, this is neither an accident, nor a mistake. there are certain rules and security measures that apply to files on a server and Microsoft employees, probably better than anyone else, know how to make a file secure. Clearly, if Microsoft wanted only their employees to have access to this file, they would have done so long time ago and anyone else would receive an "Access Denied" Error. but as you see there is no such error when accessing that link. The source of that link: it consists of 2 parts https://c2rsetup.officeapps.live.com/c2r/downloadEdge.aspx (which is well known) ?ProductreleaseID=Edge&platform=Default&version=Edge&Channel=Stable&language=en (which is the next part that is called Query String and is very easy to understand if you know that programming language) so you see, nothing unknown or strange about that link, all very simple. If Microsoft did not want people to download it, you would get a message like this after clicking on that link: Reminder: You are able to Uninstall it and the Latest version of Edge (chromium based) Stable is: Version 79.0.309.7 (Official build) (64-bit) https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/DeployEdge/microsoft-edge-sysupdate-windows-updates See the screenshots: these were all the facts so far about the stable version of Edge insider, hope it shed some light over the whole idea and hopefully we will learn more from Microsoft employees themselves. I have some files sitting in OneDrive. They are Word documents. I would like to be able to view them inside of a dialog (as read-only). Is it possible to show a document in an iframe? e.g. (I have removed the real parameters) const fileUrl = 'https://mytenant-my.sharepoint.com/:w:/g/personal/myalias_mytenant_onmicrosoft_com/docid'; <iframe height="900" width="900" src={fileUrl} > </iframe> When I try that I get an error:5.7KViews0likes2CommentsTeams Link Issue - Help please! :)
Today I sent an Outlook calendar invite to multiple people, and generated a Teams video call link by clicking 'Teams Meeting' at the top. When it came to the meeting, it didn't work as no one including me could get into the call. I then went back into the meeting invite to try and generate a new link that would work for everyone, but there doesn't seem to be a way of doing so. Even if I delete all the Teams details from the invite, there's no option click 'Teams Meeting' again therefore creating a new link. Is the only way of generating a new link to resend an entirely new invite to everyone? I'm worried this will happen again and disrupt a group meeting... so if anyone has any advice, please do let me know. Thanks. I want to know how I generate a NEW Teams link within an existing calendar invite. I've tried since and can't see any way of doing this. Currently, To-Do allows you to assign a new task to someone in your shared list. It is great! However, I notice that whenever I assign a task to someone I would have to contact them (via email or text, or phone call) to confirm they have completed the task. I think it would be a very nice feature to have the option to assign task reminders for workers or others to complete the task they are assigned instead of just being given the task. I understand that when a task is assigned you can manually input a reminder for yourself once assigned. However, more times than not, you often forget, therefore, when given a reminder from your boss or manager you are able to be reminded by the app. This would eliminate the need to have your boss remind you to complete the task.5KViews5likes3Comments
