Migrating On-Prem Distribution Groups to Exchange Online in Hybrid Mode
I have come across a number of articles on migrating distribution groups to Office 365 when you're not in hybrid mode. My situation is having hundreds of DLs on my on-prem Exchange environment that I need to move to the cloud. We don't want these converted to Office 365 groups, we want true distribution groups in the cloud. Is this possible with scripting or some other method? I really don't want to have to re-create these by hand.Remove On Premises exchange Hybrid and go fully Online
Hello, I currently have a scenario where there is a Hybrid Exchange environment with 1 server. All my mailboxes have been migrated online. I would like to completely remove dependency on local AD and I do not care about AD synchronization. How do I "tell" the O365 tenant not function on it's own so that I can manage 100% from 365 Administration? I do understand that my MX and other DNS records will need to be changed. Are there any solid guides out there on decommissioning the on premise exchange server. I want to do this with the least impact on users. Thanks, Keith
O365 Online Archiving Not Working
We migrated users to O365 last week. And for the most part everything is good. All using E3 licenses But one users mailbox is not archiving. I've confirmed that is OWA for the user right clicked on user name and Assigned Policy is what we configured right clicked on folders and they are set to use parent Can see the in-place archive folder but nothing is in it From Powershell Get-mailbox user | RetentionPolicy Set, ArchiveDatabase Set, ArchiveGuid set Run Start-ManagedFolderAssistant a few times From Security and Compliance Archive enabled But still nothing is moving to the archive
Enable AD Connect sync with existing Office 365 accounts and mailbox
Hi, I'm managing an Office 365 tenant with 60 users with E3 subscription. For the moment all users have a username with @mydomain.onmicrosoft.com domain and a mailbox associated. Now, I want to synchronize password of the local AD with Office 365 accounts. So I have to install AD Connect and configure the sync. How to sync a local AD user with an existing Office 365 user ? Note that for the moment, I can't change the @mydomain.onmicrosoft.com because there is a mailbox migration running. And when the sync is done, how can I manage online mailbox ? Do I have to install a local hybrid Exchange ? But if everything is already created online, how my Exchange will know existing mailboxes ? Thank you for you help
How to Merge Exchange Online mailbox
Hi All I have an office365 user who left the company 3 months back,his mailbox is still active his email is user1@contoso.com and the same user has joined the company back and we have created a new mailbox for him and the name of the mailbox is user2@contoso.com. Is it possible to merge both the mailboxes, i.e we only want user2@contoso.com, we want user1@contoso.com mails to be merged with user2@contoso.com ie. all the mails of user1@contoso.com to be merged with user2@contoso.com and user1@contoso.com should not exist and user2@contoso.com should have all the emails of user1@contoso.com without loosing.
Azure AD sync to on premise AD
Hi My company has Azure AD with users using Office 365 accounts sine quite some time. now we deployed on premises Windows Server Active Directory. My requirement is to sync Azure AD back to on prmises Windows AD? Can someone please help if it is possible. if so, then how to do, Regards

The recipient won't be able to receive this message because it's too large. The maximum message size that's allowed is 19 MB. This message is 29 MB. One of our office 365 users has an issue sending an email with attachments through an internal SMTP receive connector. the message size of her email, the receive connector and all the recipients are all set to 50MB. We have a hybrid environment. The receive connector is configured on an on premise Exchange 2013 server but the sender and the recipients are all in the office 365 cloud. Not sure what the issue is now.
Migration to M365 failed
Hi Community, I am migrating from an Exchange Server 2013 via hybrid to Microsoft 365. Due to the small data line and the large mailboxes, the migration takes already 2 weeks. When I looked at Migration Jobs a few days ago, I received the following error message: Migration rate: Error: TooManyTransientFailureRetriesPermanentException/StoragePermanentException/FolderCreationBlockedException: Error: The job encountered too many transient failures (82) and is quitting. The most common failure is StoragePermanentException/FolderCreationBlockedException with the hit count 60. --> Exception encountered initializing default folder. --> Implicit folder creation is not allowed on this session. A total of 5 migration jobs with a total of 50 mailboxes have been created. At first it was just a job, but there are now a lot of mailboxes with this error message. Does somebody has any idea?
