hub sites

Hi I hope you can help me out. I have some hub sites with associated sites (all are communication sites). I can edit the pages and navigation on all sites, but when I make changes to the top bar navigation (hub site), the changes won't go through. I am primary admin on all sites and it worked 4 days ago. Do any of you have the same problem? Kind regards MortenSolved16KViews2likes12CommentsHUB Site Top navigation suddenly disappeared
I created a HUB site early last week. It took the rest of the week for the global TOP link show up and even then, I was not able to add any additional links. Only the default "home" link was available. Now today, I suddenly have a different screen to manage navigation but any change I make fails with "permission denied". But I realized something else was wrong, the top navigation links at the top of the home page to the site, under the page titile, is now gone. This used to show the same items as the left nav column but horizontally. The left nav does show on subpages but not the home page. Just to add to my frustration, if I add a links in the "Structural Navigation: Editing and Sorting" , the link works even though I get the permissions error. Anyone else having problems?36KViews0likes34CommentsCannot update Hub Site Navigation
Anyone else having issues today updating Hub Site navigation? Tried Different Browsers, Users, Computer, existing and New Hub site... I make the change, hit Save and nothing changes. I opened a ticket, trying to figure out if anyone else is having the same problemSolved19KViews1like24CommentsIs there a way to show a list of associated sites to a hub site, without using top navigation bar?
We are creating collaboration sites with clients, which are all associated with a Hub Site (Let's name it Clients Hub Site). Of course, those sites are private, and we don't want one client accessing -nor even knowing about the existence- of another private site. Therefore we don't want to list the private sites in the navigation bar at the Clients Hub Site, which in any case should be done manually. The question is: Is there any function/application to be included in the Clients Hub Site contents which automatically shows an updated list of associated private sites? This was available in the past when using the sub-sites feature (They were listed in the parent site contents). May I insist on the limited access requirement: External users, members of the private groups/sites, shouldn't be aware of the existence of other groups/sites. Thanks in advance for any help. m.Solved22KViews0likes6CommentsHow do you configure navigation for a Hub site? How do I know what to link to?
Do you really have to manually paste a URL when creating a new link in the Nav bar? How come it can't auto detect spoke sites that are part of the hub? There seems to be a missing link here unless I'm misunderstanding the purpose of a navigation bar and adding sites to a hub site...3.4KViews0likes4CommentsBUG: Hub Site no longer displaying newly published news from associated site
As of July 1st or so, our hub site is not displaying newly published news articles from associated sites. It does, however, display news articles from associated sites published prior to July 1st. My Hub Visitors group is not replicating to the other spoke sites on the hub. I have updated via the actual permissions panel and by the quick permissions setting panel "Hub Permissions". All of my sites are set to sync these users. Not sure if anyone else has experienced this issue or is aware of a delay?Solved6.3KViews0likes6CommentsSharepoint central hub with active web sites

Hi, I have a set of separate sites sharing the same basic layout, lists formats, etc.. Each site has its separate set of members, news, etc.. In principle, pretty much like a normal hub site setup. However, the separation between each of the sub sites is much clearer than a normal hub site. There won't be any crossover from one site to another (e.g. a member of one site would normally not have access to any of the neighbouring sites, and shouldn't really have access to the hub either if they don't need to). Where the normal purpose of a hub site is to gather information from different places into one single hub, my intention is to use a hub site as a distribution portal. From time to time, I might want to push news to all sub sites from a central portal. I imagine there'll be more stuff as well in the future that might benefit from a central place to manage things. So the question is, can I (and if so: should I) be using a hub site as a distribution portal for my case?580Views0likes0CommentsHub site hierarchy
Because I heard that subsites might be deprecated soon, because MS recommends flat hierarchies with Hub sites, I was thinking to renew our SPO site hierarchy. That hierarchy is based on subsites and looks like this: Customer 1 (Top Level) Location 1 of Customer 1 (Subsite Level 1) - Product 1 in Location 1 of Customer 1 (Subsite Level 2) - Product 2 in Location 1 of Customer 1 Location 2 of Customer 1 - Product 1 in Location etc.. Location 3 of Customer 1 Customer 2 Location 1 of Customer 2 Location 2 of Customer 2 Location 3 of Customer 2 Customer n... So we have an SPO site for each customer, site of customer and product of customer. Those hierarchies can be navigated easily via links to site contents. Unfortunately our approach seems now bad, because MS does not recommend subsites anymore. So what can we do? With Hubsites I can only build a two-layer hierarchy. What I am showing above is not possible. Are there any recommendations? Currently we are having already +2000 subsites, so those would have to be converted to +2000 site collections each?3.2KViews0likes9Comments
