I'm having a weird issue with my Outlook, 365, Exchange account in Mac Mail. This only started being a problem in the last two day. My inbox won't refresh. New messages don't come in. Messages filed or deleted on another Mac or iPhone do not move/remove. The only way I can get the Inbox to fresh to match my other devices, including the browser window version is to go Rebuild under the Messages menu in Mac Mail. I can send just fine. Clicking in to folders seems just fine as far as showing and matching what is inside. Its JUST a problem with the Inbox never updating without support. The Mac Pro having the problem is on 10.15.7. My MacBook Pro Late 2019 running the same OS was having the problem all day yesterday but it has since be updated to Big Sur and now is working correctly. So seems to only be a Catalina issue but I'm nearly 100% sure it was a problem before I updated the Mac Pro to 10.15.7 yesterday. I need to hold off on updating the Pro to Big Sur just yet so hoping to get a fix until then.Solved1.5MViews0likes41CommentsOutlook (365) Need Password - Issue
Hi, We are using E3, outlook 365 in our company. Some of our users' outlook stop sync with exchange and ask for password, as shown in below image: to fix the issue, I clear entries in Credential Manager, Delete Temporary Files, unchecked "Use Cached Exchange mode", restart system and check this again. but after some couple of days, outlook again stop sync and ask for password. I'll appreciate for any possible support to fix this issue permanently. Thanks,Solved1MViews1like129CommentsUpdate calendar invite without sending 'meeting has been updated message' to attendees
Hi everyone, I am not normally an Office 365 Administrator but find myself wearing that hat at a startup. Someone at my company asked if it was possible to update a calendar invite without spamming all the attendees that the meeting invitation has been updated. She often has to schedule meetings on behalf of our CEO and would like to avoid spamming everyone if she does not get the exact details the right the first time. Is this possibleSolved864KViews7likes46CommentsSending email as alias in office365?
I used to have my domain email hosted in office 365. The reason i switched was because of a lack of a feature i really needed. You had the ability to create multiple aliases in office 365 so you could receive multiple emails for your domain in your inbox. For example say my domain was example.org. I could recieve emails from bob@example.org <--primary email address orders@example.org newsletters@example.org. the only big thing missing was that you could not "send" from any email other than the primary email. so in the example above i could not send email as orders@example.org or newsletters@example.org. I could only send email as bob@example.org. Is this still true or can you send email from aliases? I don't want it to look like it came from the primary email "orders@example.org in care of bob@example.org". The email i send with an alias should really look like it came from the alias. This is the only reason i'm on GApps and i'm hope to swtich back. Is this feature still missing? thanks479KViews4likes189CommentsMulti-factor Authentication breaks outlook
Just wondering if anyone has run into this issue. I have been Turning on MFA for users a group at a time all was going smooth. The next morning after turning on MFA for the last hand full of users I had to force a password change company wide due to an internal issue. After doing this it caused outlook to start prompting only for the last hand full of users. No matter which password was entered it continued to prompt. I tried the domain credentials and i even popped in the app password as I read an article that mentioned this but this did not work for me. Just wondering if anyone has run into something similar or can shed any light that may have caused this issue while i wait for 2nd level support to call me.341KViews2likes44CommentsMigrating On-Prem Distribution Groups to Exchange Online in Hybrid Mode
I have come across a number of articles on migrating distribution groups to Office 365 when you're not in hybrid mode. My situation is having hundreds of DLs on my on-prem Exchange environment that I need to move to the cloud. We don't want these converted to Office 365 groups, we want true distribution groups in the cloud. Is this possible with scripting or some other method? I really don't want to have to re-create these by hand.251KViews0likes48CommentsSending mail - Unable to get Shared Mailbox to show in "From" field (Outlook Online)
(Context: Office 365 E1 / Outlook Online) I have a shared mailbox that I need to be able to send from. My user account is properly set up as a member of that shared mailbox, and I am able to open the mailbox separately and send from within it, so I know I have the permissions/delegation. However I want to be able send as if I am the shared mailbox from within my own mailbox, not having to open a separate window with the shared mailbox. (i.e. Just choose the Shared Mailbox name in the "From" field when I send an email. Here are Microsoft's instructions to do that from https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Open-and-use-a-shared-mailbox-in-Outlook-on-the-web-for-business-BC127866-42BE-4DE7-92AE-1EF2F787FD5C?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US#__migbm_0 How do I send email from the shared mailbox? To send email from the shared mailbox using Outlook Web App: Click above the folder list. A new message form opens in the reading pane. Click More and then select Show from. This option shows you that the people who receive the email message will see that it comes from the shared mailbox and not from your own email account. To add recipients, type the name of anyone who is in your contacts folder or organization’s address list, or type the email address in the To or cc box. The first time you enter a person’s name, Outlook Web App searches for that person’s address. In the future, the name is cached so it resolves quickly. Type a subject. Type the message you want to send. When your message is ready to go, click send I cannot get any options to appear in the "From" picklist other than my own email account, even though the guide shows I should be able to do so. Does anyone know how I can get the Shared mailbox I am a member of to appear there? Thanks!233KViews0likes27CommentsBack-up tools for Office 365
Started this question a while back on Yammer. What tools do you use to back-up mail and files stored in Office 365? The fact that your files are back-upped inside and outside the datacenters of Microsoft only protects you against hardware and software failures on Microsofts side. It will not protect you against accidentally deleted files and mails, which is discovered after 30+ days or after the site trashbins have been emptied. At least that's what I think. Anyone has an answer? My customers are typically small companies, under 10 users. Sometimes even just 1 to 3. I use de SkyKick Back-up tools in my own O365 tenant. Which was an offer in the Microsoft Partner Mail recently.232KViews6likes179Comments
