Why do box/whisker graphs freeze when pasting from Excel workbook to PPT?
Hey all, I work in IT but my organization has quite a lot of Excel power users. I have a user who has been having issues when copy/pasting certain box graphs from an Excel workbook to Powerpoint. He is using an Excel workbook that has a bunch of raw numbered data. He is generating the graphs based on that data on the same sheet as the data. He needs to present this data - so after he generates the graphs, he copies and pastes them (with formatting) into Powerpoint. After, when he tries to edit the graph in any way (resize, change values, etc) besides just moving the graph around, it will freeze powerpoint to the point where he either needs to kill it in task manager or wait about 5 minutes for Powerpoint to unfreeze, catch up with the changes and allow him to resume work. This does not happen with all graphs - it does not happen with all his box graphs. I've already suggested he generates all graphs on a sheet separate from the workbook, OR doing all graph manipulation in Excel before pasting it into PPT - but he isn't satisfied with this as a workaround since he claims he's been working this way between excel/ppt for awhile and this freezing incident only started happening recently. Any advice as to why this happens and how I can present it in a way where he isn't going to feel like I'm forcing him to completely change his workflow?
Help Needed, Warning, upon opening the sheet.
Good Morning All, hope you are well this morning. I require some assistance with an Excel sheet, when i open up the excel sheet i receive the following warning message (Please see attached). I have googled the error but the fix provided to go to File > Options > Advanced and the deselect the "Alert before overwriting cells" tick box but it did not work. The sheet consists of 2 Pivot and Graph sheet and one Data sheet both the Pivots/Graph sheets read from. Can you please assist? Regards RaynoExcel Radar Chart - Dummy Node
Greetings! I am plotting a radar chart with 6 nodes (based on each of the parameter values). The Excel plot rightly plots the dimensions on 6 different nodes, but also creates a dummy node axis, without any parameter. Refer the attached screenshot. Is there any advise on how to remove this 7th node highlighted in the dummy screenshot? I doubly confirmed that the data selection rightly points to the 6 parameters (and not any dummy line), but plot includes this dummy node.
Changing Series chart type in a combo chart changes x-axis values.
Hello, I've attached an excel sheet illustrating the problem I'm having. I want to create a shaded area around the central line by turning the upper and lower bound lines into "area chart" styles, and whiting out the bottom one. However, anytime I try to do this (without tampering with the lines' source data), the "area chart" series get scrunched into a sliver near the y-axis. Help!
