Dear community We are still struggling with the best way to buy/get BttC2 Promo for our Dynamics AX customers. How do you guys get the SKUs when the migration project starts (as soon as customer is involved)? According to the FAQ, the customer can only once buy BttC2 SKUs ("...and is available only to customers that have not previously purchased a cloud version of the product..."). So basically, as from day 1 of the migration project, ALL possible SKUs have to be bought (even though with their bare minimum) because otherwise the customer would lose eligibility? Previously I thought (and I know, other partners are doing it this way) as long as the customer is on active EP, they can get BttC SKUs (so basically one initially for 20 users for the duration of the migration and as soon as they go live with a second order for the rest of the users). Any inputs welcome on how you guys are handling this. cheers DanielSolved5.1KViews0likes15CommentsNCE Tenant Migration mid-term - is it possible?
Hello everyone, we have a specific situation with an existing customer - they are "splitting up" their existing company into 2 legal entities. The "old" one will remain on the existing tenant but will abandon D365, and the "new" one will be in a completely new tenant that they wish to migrate their existing D365 NCE licenses to. I'm not optimistic this is doable, but wanted to check just in case. (They have 2 existing yearly subscriptions, one renewing on 09/08/2023 and the other one onSolvedDynamics 365 Operations - Order Lines licenses cannot be activated.
Hi Team, Unfortunately, we cannot activate Dynamics 365 Operations - Order Lines licenses via the Partner Center. According to the price list the licenses should be available. I have also searched for the product id but without success. Do you have an answer for me?3.8KViews2likes18CommentsPromo Bridge to the Cloud 2: Possible if another subsidiary has licensed BC in the same tenant?
We have a customer who already has a BC SaaS environment in their tenant, but it is for a subsidiary in the US. The Bridge to the Cloud 2 Promotion Guide states the following: - New customer on cloud product. Customer must not have previously purchased the same online product via legacy CSP or NCE. I do not understand this sentence 100%. Is "customer" equivalent to "tenant"? Would it be possible for this customer to use the Bridge to the Cloud 2 promotion even though there is already a BC SaaS environment (subscriptions without promotion) in the same tenant? The customer would like to create a new separate environment for BC for their German branch on the same tenant with the Bridge to the Cloud 2 promotion. (I already tested if it would be possible to order the additional BC subscription with the promo and yes, this is possible.) It would be great if you could help here. Thank you very much.Solved3.3KViews0likes15CommentsInvoice Capture Licensing
Hello, I have a question about Invoice Capture licensing and I have received contradictory answers. According to the licensing guide, Finance licenses include 100 Invoices per month per tenant and 20,000 AI Builder credits. As I understand it, it’s 100 invoices and not 100 invoice transactions (or invoice lines) and the use of Invoice Capture does not consume AI Builder credits unless you use custom invoice recognition models. Can someone confirm if I am correct? Thank you very much.2.6KViews1like9CommentsCustomer Insights and interacted people
Hello all! The following situation: We installed the new Customer Insights at a customer of ours. The license used is the Customer Insights Attach. In addition, the customer has appropriate Dynamics licenses to be eligible for the Attach license. There are no AddOn's booked yet. According to the Licensing Guide, the base license includes 10,000 interacted people. However, in the customer system we have 20,000. There is a footnote in the Licensing Guide that indicates that you actually get 10,000 more. But is that really the case? Or do they get contacts added through other licenses as well? How come there are 20,000 contacts there? Thanks for the help!Solved2.1KViews2likes4CommentsD365 SCM/Finance - multiple companies in one tenant
Dear community We are facing a situation where different separate legal entities operate in one D365 Finance instance. All companies are in control of the same owner - so I believe technically this is possible to consolidate the installations. Question: how is the licensing (CSP/NCE) being done properly? I assume, it is done in main-company (Company A) tenant where the LCS project belongs to) and the subscriptions are being assigned to guest users (Users of Company B/C as external guests of Company A). Is this correct? I did not find any information about this in the Licensing Guide unfortunately. Dear Community another BTTC Promo 2 question: our customer is on this promo and has 55 Finance base users. For seasonal reasons, they would like to increase the base users for 5 users - but only temporarily. Thus, they want to have these users on a monhtly contract. Question: can we buy additional base user on a monhtly term? Problem: 20 users minimum for this SKU. Any input greatly appreciated thanks in advance Daniel1.8KViews1like11CommentsAdditional Contacts for Legacy D365 Marketing Environment
For customers grandfathered to the legacy Marketing product when subscribed prior to Sept 1 2023, shouldn't there remain an option to adjust capacity in these environments? Our direct reseller has blocked purchase of all the additional contact SKUs in the license portal so that they cannot be considered for add-on. Specifically we require the Dynamics 365 Marketing Addnl Contacts Tier 2 SKU. We have a client who subscribed in May, has gone live within the past few months and is now able to calculate their monthly requirements but cannot make the adjustment and it will affect their production business process in December. The reseller is relying on their own interpretation of the situation and either refuses or does not have access to a Microsoft Product Manager or other resource to definitively address this issue.1.7KViews0likes3CommentsUpgrade path for BC Team Members
Hi LicensingConcierge2, Is it possible to upgrade an existing BC Team member license to Essentials or Premium? Currently, Partner Centre does not allow this upgrade and the matrix does not include this which I think doesn't make any sense. Can you or anyone confirm if this upgrade can be done via MS Support? Many Thanks.1.7KViews0likes4Comments
